MOVIE NIGHT


Every year in September we welcome Alta Vista Families to our annual movie night. Families are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs and find a spot on the lawn to watch a family friendly movie on the big screen.

FAQs:

1. Is this event free?

Yes, it is! Tickets are not required. However, we sell concessions at the event (pizza, candy, soda, water, popcorn, and various glow sticks) to help cover the cost of the screen rental. 

 

2. Can I bring friends or family? 

Yes, you are welcome to bring additional guests such as neighbors or family that is in town. 

 

3. How do I reserve my spot on the field. 

You can't reserve spots unfortunately. It is first come, first serve so we suggest you get there early to find a good spot. 

 

4. Do you take cash or credit card at the event?

We will accept both. However you must go to the ticket line first and purchase tickets as concession booths only accepts tickets.

 

5. Can we bring our own food?

Yes, outside food is permitted. 

 

6. Will you have any food trucks at this event?

We typically have Kona Ice, but do not hire additional food trucks since we sell pizza to help raise money to cover the event costs. 

 

7. Can I bring my dog?

No, this event is not pet friendly. No pets allowed. 

 

8. What time does the movie start and end?

The movie start time varies slightly year to year and is dependent on sunset time. The movie should start shortly after sunset (typically between 7:30 and 7:45). The movies run about 1.5 hours. (movie length various slightly depending on movie selection).

 

9. Will you be selling spirtwear at the event?

This may vary depending on how many volunteers we get, but yes, we typically sell blankets, sweatshirts, and T-shirts at the event. 

 

10. How load is the movie? Will my child need earplugs?

The speaker volume is very loud near the front and very faint if you are all the way in the back near the field entrance. We suggest you get there early so I you can find a good spot. We would recommend picking a location several feet back from the front.
